This page is intended to provide alternative clutch ideas, especially for the 4Cyl (Chrysler180), these parts are not easy to find in Australia.
The original 4Cyl uses:
Clutch cover: R850-585
Clutch release bearing: GSB336 or Nachi 40TRK39-1 this bearing is 40IDx63ODx16mm thick
The originalSpigot Bush is 3/4"od x 15mm id x 25mm long.
Alternative for 4Cly:
Clutch Cover: Use Exedy TYC549 cover. This is from a recent model Toyota Corolla, 215mm diameter.
This is the correct diameter and has 3 attachment holes on the correct PCD, so the remaining 3 will need to be marked and drilled/tapped after you attach it with the first 3. Drill thru using 17/64" drill bit and tap thru M8x1.25.
Release Bearing: Use GSB342 or Nachi 40TRK30W258, or Timken 613010. This is 40IDx63.8ODx20mm thick, which gives the required extra thickness due to the cover being approx 3mm shallower. It will press straight onto the bearing carrier.
